Broomfielders Win Squash Junior Tournament in Lakewood
Kyle and Nikka Bacalzo, both of Broomfield, won the Point Athletic Club junior squash tournament in Lakewood, CO on October 17. Nikka is a 7th grader at Broomfield Heights Middle School and won the girls under-13 division while Kyle is a freshman at Broomfield High School and won the boys under-15 division.
Nikka won her difficult final match 3 - 1, while Kyle easily won his final match 3 - 0.
The squash season is just beginning, but it is difficult to find junior tournaments in CO; Kyle will be playing in several mens tournaments throughout the season to get ready for the Colorado State Championships in March 2010.
