Dawson Middle School Earth Science Accepted into GLOBE Temperature Program

Dawson is one of 25 schools that will participate in a test of an innovative new climate research curriculum through the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Global Learning and Observation to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) Great Global Investigation of Temperature from Oct. 1-Nov. 18 of this year.In the first pilot investigation of the GLOBE Student Climate Research Campaign, MS earth science students will explore surface temperature data from around the world while they are collecting their own data. They will develop research collaborations with schools around the world in an interactive online environment, compare data and findings on local climate with other schools around the world and improve weather and climate data literacy and analysis skills.
