Lafayette, Colorado – WOW! Children’s Museum (World of Wonder) today announced that the Museum will serve as a host location for Jumpstart’s Read for the Record on Thursday, October 8th at 1:30pm. Jumpstart’s Read for the Record is an international campaign to bring preschool children together with valued grownups in their lives to read the same book, on the same day, in communities all over the world. This year, Jumpstart has selected A Very Hungry Caterpillar to help break the record for the largest worldwide shared reading experience!
Jumpstart is recognized as a one of the nation’s leading nonprofit organizations in the field of early childhood education. Jumpstart believes that reading aloud with preschool children lays the groundwork for strong literacy skills and future success in school and in life. Read for the Record connects young children and adults in the early learning experiences that help children thrive.
