We are Boulder County’s premier all-abilities theatre providing local youth with special needs the chance to shine on stage. 

CenterStage’s Tapestry Theatre is a 501 c3 non-profit organization.  We cast young actors with special needs in lead roles, and peer mentor actors as understudies and support. By cultivating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive community, we ensure everyone has fun experiencing the magic of theatre. Our participants discover talents they never knew they had, make connections with people who have diverse interests and abilities, and form long-lasting friendships. By challenging societal perceptions and showcasing everyone’s strengths, we continue to embrace our philosophy of “Applauding All Abilities!”.

Tapestry Theatre has had much success in its four short years. We produced "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown," in its 2012 inaugural year, "Annie, Jr." in 2013, Bye Bye Birdie in 2014 and Seussical, Jr. with It’s A Wonderful Life: A Radio Play in 2015. We have grown significantly in the numbers of actors participating every year and NOW it is time for us to grow again and offer year round programming. Programming that may include additional theatre and music classes. We also need to look beyond the volunteer only model into the realm of paid staffing. 

On Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the First Congregational Church in Boulder, we are having our 2nd Annual Musical Revue Fundraiser. The Fundraiser features two performances at 1:00pm and again at 6:00pm and includes food receptions either before or after the shows. Please help us reach our goals of evolving Tapestry Theatre.
